Let’s just start by saying that one of the most important things about the Amber and Honey Design Company is that we aren’t your ordinary interior decor company. The reason it even came about was because we noticed that there was a stigma attached to interior design and designers that needed to be corrected.
Amber and Honey is a place to find help with your home from people that you should feel comfortable with. We understand that most of you don’t want or need a full design renovation, and perhaps just want simple advice. This is why we offer so many different services and we allow you to choose the package that works best for you. We are nothing if not flexible. Meet some of the fine ladies involved below.
Amber and Honey is presently made up of some pretty amazing ladies and I think it’s one of our best selling points.
Hey guys, I’m Rhiannon. I am the owner and lead decorator for Amber and Honey. I stumbled into interior design after becoming a bit too obsessive with the show ‘Trading Spaces’. Do you remember it? Please say that you do. Eventually I was lucky enough after finishing school to have the opportunity to work for a wide variety of commercial and hospitality firms, and I learned a lot. Mostly, I learned that I’d much rather work with an individual or a family on their home one on one. I have my own family and it has changed me for the better. I mean I do like them a lot. I also like winning at board games, eating donuts and not feeling bad about it.
My name is Katie, I'm from London, England but have been living in Los Angeles now for 5 years. I moved here with my husband and 2 children and have been a stay at home mother for the past 4 years. I recently started home organizing again as a way to get me back working whilst my children were at school. It's something that comes very naturally to me and I really enjoy the process. In my spare time I love to bake and I also started training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which is proving to be not only a good workout but a great activity for all the family. We're all addicted!
Hey I’m Amy! I completed my BA in Art History in 2010 at California State University Long Beach and I am currently attending CSULB for a Masters degree in Museum and Curatorial Studies. I am a freelance arts writer and have published reviews for Art and Cake Contemporary Magazine, an online publication focusing on the Los Angeles arts scene and local artists. Art, for me, is an endless source of inspiration. I want to introduce artists and work to people who may never have the chance to go to galleries or studios to find that same inspiration.
Hi everyone, I’m Michelle. I am a wife, a mommy of a beautiful 6 year old girl, and 2 pups. I am an on-site/on location photographer that edits and also works out of my little office at home. I can honestly say that these past six years of photography has been the absolute best years of my life. It was a time that I found my soul and knew that it was something that I was born to do. My style is very journalistic, a little dark, with a touch of mood. I'm a big fan of documenting, and pay close attention to moments. I love meeting new people and getting to see their joy through my lens. I also enjoy what I capture. It is the life when I am surrounded by so much love.
Meet Andrea! She is the official editor for all blog content on Amber and Honey. She is also a mother, a wife, and a student. She began editing back when she started the non-profit Tahoe Writers Works in 2005. There she sat as president and poetry editor for their award winning annual publication, Edge, for over seven years. She always enjoys a challenge and we think that's part of what she loves about editing text. Andrea is one of the best human beings alive and we are beyond thrilled that she is part of the team!
