If you have ever owned a dining table, than I’m fairly certain you’re plenty aware of how difficult it is to find just the right chairs to go with it. I know I know, there are tables that comes with chairs. But I say nope. It’s too easy. Plus it doesn’t always come with the character you’re looking for. So here I have created a little advice on choosing dining chairs that will urge you to have an endless amount of dinner parties this year.
You want to get something you do actually feel good sitting in. It may not need to be the most comfortable thing in the world, but it does need to feel nice. I’ve owned those chairs that hurt yur bum after 10 minutes, and they’re the worst. Avoid them like the plague.
Also, if you plan to use your dining chairs for the occasional extra seating in another room, you absolutley want to get something that can be used as such.
Do you want arms to rest on? It can be a nice feature. Just make sure it doesnt interfere with the overall look, and that these arms allow for the chair to fit underneath the table when pushed in all of the way.
This is just a matter of having one style of chairs, vs multiple. It is absolutley a matter of opinion. To figure out what you prefer, go through pinterest and see what you find yourself drawn to.
What a great eclectic feature to have a variety of dining chair styles around the table. There is no better way to show off your fun side than having a combination of chairs, colors, and or benches, around the table.
If refinement is what you want, find yourself one style and run with it. You can always dress up your table to look differently. If you have a simple style going around the table, it may allow you to do more depending on the occasion.
Wood a classic option for dining chairs. You can keep them as is and embrace that beautiful wood finish. If you’re ever up for a change, you can paint them and have yourself an entirely different look. Easy. You can go traditional, shabby chic, or eclectic. You can do anything, it’s all in the amunt of detail that comes with the chair.
Upholstery is fun because you can bring in different patterns and colors. Just remember that upholstery is harder to aintain. So be sure the fabric color and material work for you. For example, I know that my daughter would cover our dining chairs in spaghetti sauce and mustard, so I will stay away, or pick a vinyl perhaps. Upholstered chairs are versatile, it’s all in the frame and fabric choice. There are no limitations here.
Metal is a great choice for dining chairs. They last a long time and look really fresh. Again just remember what comfort level youre going for. Metal is capable of being used in just about any design style. You can go modern, industrial, or french. It’s up to you.
