Floor lamps are not only a great source of light for a room, but they can be gorgeous elements on their own. Which is why floor lamps can be so expensive. This is a disappointment if you’re unable to afford anything you love. Of course, you can always find something out there within your budget. I have found some beautiful examples of floor lamps under $100.
Urban Outfitters has this Celia Mercury Glass Floor Lamp for only $89. It’s a gorgeous piece because of the gold stand, detailed glass, and modern shape. It certainly looks more expensive. It would look nice placed behind a chair in a corner, and would provide great direct light for reading.
This is a popular floor lamp style because it’s very versatile. This one from Target is simple, but large, so it makes a statement. It would work at the end of a sofa in place of a side table.
Naturally I’ve got to add IKEA to this list. This particular lamp is one that I own, and it works wonders. It’s another large piece so it works well on its own and doesn’t need much else around it to balance it out.
This lamp from Plummers has an asian style with its jute shade and natural honey wood frame. It’s much more of a piece of art to add to an empty corner, than to use as a credible light source.
This modern lamp from CB2 is very sleek and slightly industrial looking. It also has that rectangular shade which makes for a great source of light, and it just looks really nice.
This adjustable floor lamp from Wayfair comes in a nice distressed finish. I see this lamp working well in a number of design schemes.
A favorite of mine is this Industrial mid century modern floor lamp from Co Mod. This is just plain fun to add to your living room, and the yellow makes it look great whether it’s on or off.
