Have you seen the new Pantone color of the year? This year is ‘Ultra Violet’ and they didn’t shy away from going with a bold color. If you are a fan of drama, or even purple, than this is the ideal color for you. However the consensus seems to be that it’s a bit of a shocking choice. According to Pantone, “Enigmatic purples have also long been symbolic of counterculture, unconventionality, and artistic brilliance.”.
My first instinct was to question how this can successfully be used in your home. I know it’s hard to imagine. Remember, a color like this does not have to be used in large amounts. I think it can be a fun color to play with if you do it right. So I came up with a few different ways you can do this. I think it can in fact work, but I’m just gonna say it, I don’t think it’s for everyone.
What do ya think? Do you love ‘Ultra Violet’? Or do you ultra hate it? Get it? Did you see what I did there? I was being clever. :)
