I’ve always needed help with storage. However I can honestly say, ever since having kids I feel like I am constantly searching for kid storage ideas that look great and are entirely functional. Designing your home with kids in mind is different than without them. There is no doubt about that. Still, it’s very important that your spaces work for both adults and kids alike.
In my humble opinion there are 4 different types of storage pieces you want to consider. That is baskets, boxes, cabinets, and hooks. These 4 different storage items are immensely helpful when it comes to keeping your home free of that kid clutter.
These are great because they’re easy for kids to use. At least they should be. Plus I think that if you find the right one, it can make for a pretty great accent feature in your home.
These are a little more sturdy than the baskets, and may end up lasting a little longer than alternatives. Plus you can get a box with roller castors, lids, or are stack able.
Shelves & Cabinets
Having a station for your kids to consistently put their things away will make it easier on them. Which means, it will be a whole lot easier on you too. So think about getting something like these lockers, cubbies, or even shelves. Imagine how organized all of those toys will be.
Hooks are my favorite. They’re small, inexpensive, and work for kids of all ages. You can hang those play clothes, hats, or whatever else it is your kids may be using. Oh and they can go anywhere. I mean you can put them inside a closet, outside a closet, or even add them to furniture. I love hooks.
