I’ve been working with Art Cricket LA for a year now and it has been a lot of fun. One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most is getting to see how large scale art transforms the entire space. I love the look of one or multiple smaller pieces, however the benefits of large scale art on the center of a big empty wall are enormous.
It’s Eye Catching
Art is ordinarily not thought out in general in a home, but it should be. So no matter what, installing anything brings a big impact to a room. However a large scale piece is always the first thing someone comments on. Trust me. It’s more true than you can imagine.
It’s bold, and highly unique. We don’t ordinarily see something so large, but when we do, it is a gorgeous focal point.
It makes a room feel like it has been thoughtfully planned out. Something about seeing a large piece on the wall like this makes the room feel like it is complete, and it’s comforting.
When you have such a large piece on a wall, ordinarily not much else is needed. So be cause of this, it makes a room instantly look nicely designed. Just look at the dining room image above. There isn’t much within the space, but it sure does look beautifully put together doesn’t it?
It Inspires Color
If you’re ever in need of insertion for color, use the art you have on your wall. When you install a large piece with some incredible use of color, the fun part is taking those colors and using them in the rest of the space. Try it, you’ll see.
Where to Put It
Realistically you can make it work on any area where you have the space for it. However some of the best places for large scaled art are centered on a big empty wall.
Dining rooms are usually screaming for large scale art pieces. They don’t ordinarily have a lot going on, so a large piece of art can make the entire room look drastically different.
Placed over a bed in a bedroom is quite dramatic. It’s sometimes the best option, especially when you don’t have a headboard.
