Sitting at my desk, looking out my window into the bright, hot summer sun, my mind drifts to water, sand, boats and beaches. Which is why my images from past vacations were the first I thought of when looking for some color inspiration to share! I love using images I take out and about in the world for interior design inspiration.
In my last Color Love post on my own blog, I mentioned how torn I am between two design trends. I have always loved bold colors with mix and match patterns, and a global style. However I must say, I am a bit smitten with the trend toward palettes featuring more neutral tones, muted colors, and simple design. So here is a color palette featuring the latter trend, courtesy of a dreamy seaside sunrise at Hilton Head. I love the mix of cool and warm tones. Sometimes it can be difficult to see how a color palette will translate into real life design, so I have included some images below of interiors that feature similar color schemes. I quite like it…how about you? See for yourself and then decide.
