If you are someone who enjoys owning records, you are aware of how hard it is to find something to hold these things properly. My husband has a large collection, and we have tried many things over the years. They need to be durable, because these records can get very heavy. They need to be a specific size, because you don’t want them hanging over the edge, or possibly getting broken. Plus, you just want it to look really nice. So here are some of my favorite rvinyl storage shelves.
IKEA has the Kallax storage unit. It was once the Expedit, but it has been upgraded slightly. It comes in units as small as 2 openings, to as large as 16. Clearly this is great for those who have an ever increasing number of records to deal with.
This beauty from Symbol is a handy device that will hold up to 120 LP’s, and you can store your system on top of it. It’s a very beautiful piece of furniture, so I’d say it’s worth it if you have a collection this size.
Another nice little piece comes from Urban Outfitters, and it is quite compact. It does everything you need it to. It has a great little spot for your record player as well as records. It has that vintage look so everyone will think you lucked out and found something at a yard sale. I mean who really needs to know the truth.
Over at Wayfair, they have this handy shelving unit that has 6 dividers. It makes it easy to look through your music and you can hold quite a bit here. It’s simple. It works.
Brooklyn Reclamation has this beautiful industrial console for your LP’s to safely be stored. If you want something beautiful, durable, and functional, this is your guy.
